We'll Always Have Paris

Not that I care about this twit's drug use, but it would be nice if the rest of us could lie to investigators and not become "prohibited persons." [Read]

The old pH Factor is really manifesting itself in this one. At this writing, 11,763 of our countrymen have time to weigh in on this vital issue of our times.

A lot of people are going to be simply astonished if they ever find themselves really on their own.

I like to think if I'd been blessed with a daughter, I'd have encouraged her to explore options for developing interests and growth with things like BB guns and microscopes and...

I see the endless stream of Miley Cyrus backpacks and Twilight nonsense and all the mindless, materialistic, vain and vacuous commercial messages aimed at girls in this country and wonder what kind of idiot parent would encourage and abet that--and what kind of sometimes just greedy, sometimes calculated evil minds would exploit it.

South Park nails it.

Lindsay Lohan has again tested positive for drugs. Just one more second second chance, please, judge?

Meanwhile in New Zealand -- aren't they busy with a big earthquake or something? Apparently not TOO busy --

WELLINGTON (AFP) – Police in New Zealand burning off seized cannabis were left red-faced when a change in the wind sent smoke billowing over a primary school, it was reported Tuesday.

Officers in the South Island town of Picton were destroying cannabis and shredded paper in an incinerator at the local police station when the incident occurred, the Marlborough Express newspaper reported.

It said St Joseph's School principal Peter Knowles noticed the smoke on Friday morning and complained to police, who immediately extinguished the fire.

Maybe if we really emphasize that every administration from the Founding through World War II encouraged farmers to grow hemp in the ditches and unused margins of their fields. We don't have to tell them it was used for making rope for military shipboard use before synthetic fibers were invented.
