We're the Only Ones Uncooperative Enough

Haynes was uncooperative at the scene of the shooting, refusing to give a statement or explain what had happened, according to the sheriff's office incident report...When asked again what had happened, Haynes repeats, "A kid suffered a gunshot wound to his hand." [More]

You know, the gun went off...

It says he's "not technically an undercover officer."

It sounds like he's not technically much of anything.

Seems to me that undercover police investigations take way too long, cost way too much and address mostly victimless "crimes." The undercover has to prove himslf to those he infiltrates by ... committing crimes.
But complain about the net NEGATIVE effect on the rule of law, privacy and freedom, and you're an "anarchist."

What would happen to one of us if we were this negligent? "I didn't know where my gun was," even though I need it at all times even where ordinary mortals are prohibited from having them, because as a cop I make enemies.

He did one thing right, and only one. Never talk to the cops.
