We're the Only Ones G.O.O.D. Enough

I think that many Americans will be surprised with the answer many serving officers gave when asked what they will do if TEOTWAWKI ever occurs: Almost to a person they respond they will go home and protect their families or G.O.O.D. As far as protecting anyone else? Forget it. [More]
I trust no one here will be surprised to find, as Firesign Theater put it, "In the next world, you're on your own"...?

I also noticed the good ex-officer said he had "authorized access" to five homes refrigerators during the aftermath of Rita. How quaint. Looting under color of law. I also noticed the other cops showed up and didn't take his guns. Spiffy. And in the "Next World" scenario, I may just say Thank G*d I'm on my own. Anybody shows up to take anything except a powder is going to get a free lead salad. III.

Cops going "over the hill" is exactly what happened during Hurricane Katrina, and every race riot in recent memory.

It's not us they're "protecting and serving".
