Half an inch of steel, a quarter of an inch of wood, and a HUGE double standard. The difference between live ex-cop and dead "felon." Randy Weaver knows.
I remember the Reagan assassination attempt, and how all those Secret Service short-barreled full-auto Uzi carbines came out from under the London Fog raincoats. We'd be UNDER the jail.
I'll stick with "shall not be infringed."

I'd like to see book, chapter, and verse that allows individual LEOs to own firearms that are illegal under a state or federal law.

To my knowledge, departments are allowed ownership of otherwise "illegal" firearms, but not individual officers.

Departments should not be allowed to own firearms forbidden to individual citizens. LEOs should be required to fight criminals with the same weapons they limit us to since they seem to want to ignore "shall not be infringed".
