Can anyone explain how he magically chambered a round my reinsertig the magazine? Unless he slid that dohickey thing.
Steve, the usual explanation for that scenario is that "drop magazine, rack slide" becomes "rack slide, drop magazine". (And that is being generous in presuming that he's not simply lying about all of it.)
Even that mistake only draws blood if you simultaneously ignore Rules Two and Three, along with One.
