‘Controversy’ over ‘gun-packing Santa’ manufactured by TV news

It’s ridiculous, but it does show the divide between hoplophobes, that is, those with an irrational fear of weapons, and those of us who responsibly own, use and enjoy firearms, and who raise our children with our values.

It’s also ridiculous because this is one isolated complaint. Any wider “controversy” has been entirely manufactured by the “Authorized Journalists” at KCRA. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at a Christmas miracle of sorts: Making something out of nothing.

Maybe they could make amends by having a nude Santa wearing a rainbow sash and handing out condoms to the kids. THAT would certainly get the approval of the medial!

They've got to fill all those two-minute segments with SOMETHING. Preferably something with lots of exclamation points!!! that makes a good teaser commercial to boost ratings. Who would have guessed that the tabloids would be the new paradigm for journalism in the 21st?
Us.
On cable the other night there was the old movie "Santa Claus," made in Mexico in 1960. The blurb says "Santa Claus and his old friend Merlin the Magician team up to fight the Devil."
Can you hear the alarms going off?
Santa fighting anything, including evil? How politically incorrect.
He's only inspired by a SAINT.
How about St. Gabriel Possenti, whose display of pistol marksmanship convinced bandits to try elsewhere?
