What passes for "security" in this country, is in most cases, smoke, mirrors, willful ignorance, and wishful thinking.
Going after police officers does show complete contempt for the law--or, maybe, people have had enough of the police abusing their "authoritah".

Rucsh Limbaugh had a quote from te Kennedy's widow about how he never would have engaged in harmful political speech He always found the good in everyone. Then he played a tape of Kennedy saying conservative Robert Bork's America would mean women having to get back-alley abortions, blacks sitting at segregated restaurant tables and police breaking into people's homes in the middle of the night. Bork did not make it onto the Supreme Court.
