Like a Day Without Sunstein

As late as 1980, it would have been preposterous to argue that the Second Amendment creates an individual right to own guns... [More]
Some of us still argue that, commie scumbag.

Whenever I think about this guy(?), my thoughts are unprintable, unsayable, unnameable. Perhaps he(?) and I can choose a piece of ground some day.

The Second Amendment "creates" NOTHING. What it does is spell out explicitly that We, The People, possess the RIGHT to KEEP and BEAR arms - for whatever purpose we desire and the government SHALL NOT INFRINGE on that pre-existing right. The tyrants and their useful idiots can repeal the 2nd tomorrow and all it does is prove that the government has become 100% despotic - it does not take away or void any of my rights. Please see "Jefferson, Thomas" for the solution to the above problem.

"Once we know that people are human -- that they have a little Homer Simpson in themm -- it's easier to manipulate them." --Cass Sunstein

I no longer care what the Founders thought, said or did, whether they couldn't imagine today's society or firearms technology or what have you. They will twist and turn and weasel until they pervert the meaning of ... well, a two-letter verb like "is." Remember the Lewinsky Affair Affair? Oral sex ISN'T sex because Clinton said it isn't. Ask anyone under 25.
The right to armed self-defense exists because it exists. Many of us will never truly need to use it until they try to take it, and as it stands now, we will do so reluctantly because war is a terrible thing. If they keep pushing and keep pushing in the quest to make all our rights sound like impediments to utopia, my conscience won't bother me AT ALL when what may need doing must be done. And I feel guilty if I pick up a quarter off the sidewalk because the person who dropped it might find it again. I hate the foes of freedom for what they are forcing me to become.
This is what history has always been. Ordinary people pushed back and to the limit.

I feel that y'all may be getting tired of my persistence in pointing out that the period immediately following the word INFRINGED was not placed there for decorative purposes.
But ...

Also on the Prog front:

Fearless Leader says energy tax credits for businesses who improve their buildings' energy efficiency by 20% by 2020 are THE way to get them hiring again. NOT fewer picayune regulations, NOT lower taxes of any kind. Gotta sacrifice some people to save the planet, ya know.

Those flourescent efficient environmentally-safe lightbulbs (bulbs with the MERCURY in them which need to be disposed of as HAZARDOUS WASTE) are, of course, made in China, while there are some factories HERE that make the old-fashioned incandescent kind. They will close.
California has outlawed regular bulbs. No incentive, just banned.
Hey, if I buy a palletload and drive out West...
