We're the Only Ones Deliberately Indifferent Enough

The defendants sought summary judgment for qualified immunity, but a Detroit federal judge denied the motion as to four jail deputies, finding that they did not qualify for immunity because they purposefully ignored Bishop's pleas for help. [More]
One would think the same charge of deliberate indifference could be leveled against officials sworn to uphold the supreme law of the land who turn a blind eye toward infringements of basic guaranteed rights.

One would think.
