Project Gunboater?

The navy said the gunmen opened fire first when the marines discovered the camp, which the gang is believed to have used as a launching point for smuggling marijuana into Texas by speedboat. Marines seized more than 20 guns after the shootout, including several assault rifles.[More]

Via Facebook correspondent Marc P, who "wonder[s] how many were Gunwalker?"

That's a legitimate question, and brings up another--has ATF issued a law enforcement bulletin with all known "walked" gun serial numbers so that firearms turning up at crime scenes can be matched and accounted for?  Or does the "jeopardize ongoing investigations" card trump all--particularly when the ongoing investigation is of them?

[Note: This is one of the posts from May 12 that vanished with the Blogger crash. It looks like they are gradually restoring them to our unpublished list for reposting. I'm sorry, but any comments made before the crash have vanished.]

UPDATE: This was the genesis for yesterday's GRE.

I don't see how they can do that, being the numbers would show they allowed thousands to walk. And not only that, but just think if the gold standard of guns that trace back were the very ones ATF allowed to walk. That would show the real agenda so seeing the list will be like pulling a tooth from a lyon with a pair of pliers. Good luck. Aaaaaa yes, a government for the people by the people. Not!

One thing puzzles me about that article. Can somebody define a "decapitated head" for me? What is that, a head that has had its head removed? Wouldn't the correct phrase for what these bozos meant be "severed head"?
