Alms for the Productive?

This is one of the reasons I get so prickly about credit where due.  The "Authorized Journalists" all get regular paychecks and T&E accounts.

If left to most readers, the mule working for them would drop dead from neglect.

And (as some did the last time I put out an appeal on his behalf) don't even leave a comment about how Mike should put ads on his site as a way to "pass the buck." By way of comparison, to show how that's no solution, this is what those near-useless space-wasters yield here:

So what can we do to up your ad revenue?

Nothing--this isn't about my ad revenue. This is about Mike's regular readers giving value for value received. It's a shame he has to go blegging for funds to go to DC and cover tings that we all will benefit from.

I'm sucking wind but will find a few bucks to send his way.

I was just curious how it worked; I too have already sent Mike a check or two.

It works based on clicks--but if we ask readers to do that they will kick us out of the program and we'll lose out on that massive reward...
