Hell on Wheels

Taking a stand that RRC employees can exercise their Second Amendment rights is simply the right thing to do.[More]
And the rest of us?

Eh.

Because it clearly says "the right of Railroad Commission employees to keep and bear arms."

That's what the Founders obviously intended...

All the Texas Railroad Commission folks are good people. They'll do the right thing.

If you're not from these parts you might not know that the TRRC has nothing to do with the administration of railroads. The Commission primarily handles oil and gas regulations. Go figure.

The article mentions "The policy also allows licensed peace officers, security guards, and persons complying with Texas weapons codes to carry their firearms on state and personal property under commission control."

That sounds to me like anyone can lawfully carry. It's not Constitutional carry, but it is good for those of us with permission slips.
