Fox News Picks Up "Project Gunwalker"

Senator Calls ATF on Allegations Agency Is Allowing Guns Into Mexico [More]

It's nice to see this getting even more traction as journalists do their own investigations.  For those who don't know, Maxim Lott is John Lott's son.

For the record, the letters did not "initially surface" on my site. I wrote in my first sentence that Mike had posted them on Sipsey Street and linked to his exclusive.

A journalist's guide to 'Project Gunwalker'

Here's what's happened so far, at least what I can publicly disclose...[More]
Today's third, and hopefully last Gun Rights Examiner column provides a one-stop resource for keeping up to speed on what has happened in this story to date.

As you can see, a tremendous amount of work has gone into this from both Mike and myself over the last month. I cannot begin to stress how important it is for regular readers here--those of you who perceive enough value from this site to keep coming back day after day--to help us make this work worthwhile.

Please forward the journalist's guide link to every newspaper, news website and talk radio/TV outlet you can think of.

And if some of you wanted to ask NRA if this isn't worth sharing with their members, that would be cool too.

VA-ALERT: URGENT ALERT - Federal Magazine Gun Ban!

Taking a quick break between "Project Gunwalker" posts to pass along an urgent alert from VCDL, passed on to me. Sorry, no time to purty it up:
Can you punch out to your groups? This is Schumer's way of stopping McConnell's vote against Obamacare, and I can see the Dead Elephants saying "the symbolic win on Obamacare is worth the ire of the nut-job community."

> I just got word that there may be an attempt to slip a magazine ban similar to the one proposed by anti-gun Congresswoman Caroline McCarthy into a normally benign Federal Aviation Administration bill using an amendment in the U.S. Senate.

> I contacted Senator Warner's and Senator Webb's office and they confirmed that they have gotten phone calls on this issue this morning from concerned constituents. They say nothing is on the docket for *today* and they can't yet confirm the validity of the rumor, but they are working on doing so.
>
> Either way, we need to play this safe and flood both offices with calls letting both Senator Warner and Senator Webb know that magazine bans are not acceptable and to please oppose any effort to impose such a ban in any way.

Washington Post ‘Project Gunwalker’ piece lets key claim go unchallenged

Considering the resources reporters Grimaldi and Horwitz have invested in this story, is it credible to suggest this is not an important piece of information that could cast their entire series of reports under a new light? [More]
Today's second Gun Rights Examiner column notes the professional sleuths are overlooking a key clue.

Hey, I remember that game.

It's pointing to in the office with a directive.  And Col. Mustard is starting to come into focus...

Normal Operations Delayed

I'm trying to crank out three (a spate!) Gun Rights Examiner columns today plus prep for this afternoon's Trigger Sports Live!

Sorry, all of your kind tips are on hold while I focus on the "Project Gunwalker" priority. And please don't expect rapid comment moderation turnaround...

I do hope the regulars here are seeing how hard Mr. Vanderboegh and I are working to break this open, and are actively helping us do that by sharing links and contacting representatives.
