One thing I've learned over the years is you can rarely successfully present arguments to the Dan Grosses of the world. The only reason he asked about the cost of a gun compared to the life of a human being was to shut down the debate and then claim victory. Debating the Dan Grosses of the world about any topic is fatiguing, to say the least, and almost always a waste of time.
