The Root of the Problem

Each year, across the country, about 7,000 African Americans are murdered, more than nine times out of 10 by other African Americans. [More]
Dang.

You know what would fix that?

Marching on gun shops!

" We need the police to make protecting the citizens of those streets a greater priority."

Did he not get the memo? The one where the SCOTUS said the police have no duty to protect anyone? I like the way he alludes to comparing gun stores to the groups that supply terrorists.

Here's a little something I thought of one day. I JER had aimed a little to the left, Dr King would still be with us and Jesse would be a footnote in a history book.

Where are the fathers, Jesse? Don't you think youngsters might be better behaved if there were MEN in the community teaching boys how to be men?

Poverty and despair are facts of life. Good character overcomes them, while a lack of character uses them to try to excuse the inexcusable.

I wish I ccould find the article I read a few years ago about the effects of fatherlessness on families and neighborhoods.

When I find it, I'll try to send you a link.

Ol' Jesse has first-hand experience at being an absentee father. And the "reverend" used donated funds to pay off his sperm receptacle. Wish I could locate an article I wrote on that years back...
