We're the Only Ones Suspended Enough

A 17-year veteran of the New York Police Department has been suspended without pay after a kidnapping victim was found tied up in his garage. [More]
As if there's not enough clutter. But suspend your disbelief--I'm sure he has a good explanation, and, after all, that's why we call so many of Bloomberg's Finest the "Only Ones."

I have no doubt that his Brothers in Blue in the NYPD will ostracize him just as they do for any member of the Blue Wall who dares to turn in another Brother for breaking the law.

Now come on! You don't know what kind of day he'd had! He has a tough job to do filled with split second decisions! Shouldn't we just give him the benefit of the doubt?

Besides, he's a cop, right? So since it was a cop what dunnit we should presume regularity and say that it MUST have been the right thing to do!
