The Social Network

What has Brandon Raub done that many of us are not "guilty" of? [Read]

Tough to say: The Facebook page he got in trouble for is closed to non-"friends."

Does that mean one of them turned him in? Or that the FBI accessed it regardless with site cooperation?

I have no idea if he crossed a line.  We'll have to see what we can find out, made all the more problematic when the main sources so far for doing that are government statements.  And it's not like we see "Authorized Journalists" doing much more than propagating those to gin up fear and loathing.

It's not like we haven't seen that before.

And again.

And again.

Maybe he belongs in a mental ward, maybe he doesn't, and this was simply the most "effective" way to put down an embarrassment. I do  know I have no reason to set my default position to "trust the government."
