FYI, there is no "new law". Carrying at polling stations has always been legal under Indiana law.

On July 1, 2011 a new preemption statute with teeth was passed under Senate Bill 292, which elminated such silly things such as "no guns at city hall" or "no guns in city parks".

Pre-7/11, some polling places were at city halls or the like which prohibited firearms. Now those prohibitions are illegal.

Local governments can still prohibit firearms in courthouses and jails (schools are no go by state law) but not all government property.

Thanks for the clarification. It might be helpful if you'd post this under the linked article--if you do, feel free to give "John from Indiana" a message...
