Oath Keepers holds Lexington oath ceremony in spite of rally ban (Photos)

An appeal could not be filed due to the Supreme Judicial Court in Boston being closed, Rhodes explained, but despite the rally itself being cancelled, his group went ahead with a ceremony where about 200 members reaffirmed their oaths to uphold the Constitution. In spite of the concerns expressed by the Lexington Board of Selectmen in their revocation of the rally permit, people were freely gathered at nearby Concord Bridge, he observed, which seemingly proves the concerns were groundless. Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes some people will go to great lengths to support the Constitution, even when the biggest obstacle in the way is the very government that is supposed to be bound by it.

Markie Marxist sez: "Freedom of speech and freedom of assembly at the same time?!!! Without a government permit?!!! That's an outrageous affront to the Marxist state of Marxachusetts! The perpetrators must be hunted down and punished! They assembled! And they spoke too! We can't allow that! It trumps the authority of the Marxist state of Marxachusetts! Maybe we could like, uh, get real mad about it, and like, uh, say stuff?"

I agree!! I know I read somewhere that the founding fathers wrote the people could assemble if a judge says so and they could speak out if they file a permit application and it was granted. These people are way out of control thinking just because they have a mouth they can speak!
