Egypt exemplifies ‘hope and change’ of ‘gun control’ and authoritarian rule

That these are all positions our own “gun control” advocates would like to enact domestic parallels for, there’s one other similarity -- aside from the demonstrable fact that such efforts don't produce their promised results and that determined people will develop workarounds when their incentives become strong enough -- between turbulent Egypt and the increasingly discontented U.S. that seems eerie, particularly by the choice of words used.
