The whole idea for this column came about when I was approached by a liberty activist, upset because she wanted to attend a gun rights event and they not only had no provisions for younger people, they actually weren’t welcome. That resulted in no small amount of hard feelings, and not only excluded the youngsters, but took the wind out of the sails of someone who wanted to be a supporter.
