Precisely the Problem

Almost all voters -- 88 percent -- say “the government is in charge of the people.”  That includes 83 percent of Democrats, 88 percent of independents and 94 percent of Republicans.

Only 8 percent feel “the people are in charge of the government.” [More]
And those are the ones thee "progressives" need to portray as racist extremists.

What I don't get is how anyone could admit government is in charge of them and not dedicate themselves to reestablishing proper control.

If "the people" were truly in control they would govern themselves, in voluntary association with others of like mind.

There is no way for "the people" to control any non-voluntary government. Too many different ideas about what that means, with most of them wanting to control the lives and property of others... one way or another.

When some people are given control over other people, tyranny is the inevitable result.
