It Deserves a Vote! - T Minus 3 - Assaulted II Update

From Dead Patriot Films:
Last night the president called for a vote on pending gun control legislation to rounds of applause. His emotional call to action is driven in part by the media’s push for more gun control. How much is this media push effecting opinions on gun control?

A Gallup poll asking, “Would you like to see gun laws in this country made more strict, less strict, or remain as they are?”, has been asked every year over the past twelve years. The results show that over the past year there have been some major opinion changes (see table below). The increases in “dissatisfied” and “no opinion” would suggest that the constant media attack on the 2nd Amendment is working. Other polls like CBS News Poll show even more support for stricter gun control laws including an assault weapons ban and magazine ban.

Now, I’m not going to argue about how these polls were conducted or the scientific credibility of them. I’m presenting them to show that unless films like ours are made, which will educate the general public on the history and importance of the 2nd Amendment, our elected officials will sacrifice our civil rights in the name public safety without even hesitating.

Your donation is a vote - a vote for upholding our civil rights. Give us the funds to finish this production and we will produce a film that will educate and change minds.

Subway stabbing shows police protection is a legal myth

“Lozito says a grand-jury member later told him Howell admitted on the stand that he hid during the attack because he thought [the attacker] had a gun,” the Post reported. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes not only will they require you to be disarmed, and not only don't they have a duty to protect you, but that they'll actually actually stand by and let you die if it means they might get hurt--and then claim credit for being the hero who saved the day.

I have to say, I'm wondering why he didn't have a gun. Maybe it's just because Florida is generally considered pretty "gun friendly" compared to many other states, and my spider sense wants to find out more.

A Damned Good Question

Because gun owners continue to reward RINOs with power in a slow political suicide ritual, and haven't come to grips that assuring a short term loss today can produce long-term behavior modifications on the part of their elected representatives -- if not out of principle then out of self-interest?

Burn, Baby, Burn

I'd originally just been sent a link to the first video in this story and wondered if someone may have been trying to spread disinformation by putting out audio from another incident and get people to run with that -- plus I think it's good to be cautious noting all the different and changed stories coming out of Newtown. But this seems to pretty much confirm the plan was to torch the guy, and so now we need to ask why, and how that fits in with approved police protocols, because if they can use it against one "suspect," we have to ask ourselves if that's all it should take. What's the threshold? A level of fear necessary to open fire on innocent newspaper delivery women?

One other point: I saw Mark Fuhrman on Hannity last night, and he made a good case that Dornan wasn't the highly-trained Rambo he and everyone else made him out to be, but acted instead like a rank amateur and a cornered animal.  If that's the case, the cautionary tale becomes even stronger -- imagine if he had been. Imagine what several of such true operators could do.

And they'd be smart enough not to leave a public manifesto that would basically guarantee becoming identifiable manhunt targets.
