N.H. Rep. files petition, criminal complaint against oath-breaking colleagues

A New Hampshire state representative has filed a petition to remove 189 legislators from the House of Representatives for voting to diminish citizen’s rights of self defense. John Hikel filed an Emergency Petition of Redress and a Verified Complaint of Breach of Oath of Office and Conspiracy against Rights in April against 189 members of the New Hampshire House of Representatives who voted to repeal the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law for “Breach of Oath of Office and Conspiracy against Rights.” [More
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report looks at a unique attempt to establish accountability. I've never seen anything like it.

You Got Your Enemy in My Country!

Resistance is a process. Our movement, as I've written and said many times before, is one galvanized by events. [More]
Vanderboegh's latest reminds me of a Reeses commercial:

You got your history lesson in my book review!

You got your book review in my history lesson!

Unfortunately, looking at current potentialities, "You got your face under my jackboot!" is hardly a fortunate convergence of circumstances.

We're the Only Ones Over the Top Enough

A motorist found a gun, stun gun and other items belonging to a western Pennsylvania police officer who lost the items after leaving them on top of his pickup and driving off after his shift ended Saturday. [More]
Nice to know "the unnamed officer" will be disciplined.Be nicer to know the idiot's name. And to see if he'd reported the gun as stolen or did not report it at all.

I know this says the gun was badly damaged. If unrepairable, I'd have still been tempted to take it to one of those no-questions-asked "buybacks" for a gift card...

And if repairable...

Full Faith and Credit

A Tennessee statute provides that it is a felony for a person who has been convicted of a felony drug offense to possess a firearm, and it does not make an exception for persons who have been pardoned for their crime. [More]
I always thought the only person with moral authority to pardon another was the victim.

It's unclear from this if he victimized anyone.

In any case, anyone who can't be trusted with a gun can't be trusted without a custodian.  If he's deemed safe enough to be allowed out running loose amongst us, why should there be a problem?

Home Rule

The fact that you're the one who is supposed to rule in your home has nothing to do with it. [More]

Here are the Homewood Hoplophobes to thank.

Hazelcrest's website isn't working at the moment, lending itself to the possibility that they don't wish to deal with reasoned discourse.

Nice try.

Jury in Zimmerman case may consider other charges  [More]

Maybe if we can railroad the guy on a lesser charge for communal purposes, there will be peace throughout the land.

What's that commie line from Space UN... I mean, Star Trek?
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...or the one.

That and "from each according to his ability..."

Yeah, go ahead, throw the snarling jackals a scrap of flesh.  That always makes them go away, right?

Victory is Ours! Part Two

The new language says that magazines with removable base plates are only illegal if they have actually been altered so that they do hold more than 15 rounds...

The grandfathered owners simply may not sell the magazines, or give away ownership. [More]
Terrific. I was wondering when this would all be cleared up and I could go back to sleep.

I guess I shouldn't be so cynical. At least these guys are doing something.  Imagine what could be done if most gun owners would actually get involved in a substantial way.

Victory is Ours!

A Colorado federal district court ruled today in favor of a Colorado man and a national gun rights group holding that a U.S. Postal Service regulation barring firearms in its parking lots violates their right to keep and bear arms under the Constitution.  [More]
Do we now have a conflict?

I'll celebrate when there's no law to violate inside the damn place we pay for as well as outside.

Fuggedaboutit

Anyone caught engaging in violence against a government official is kidding himself if he believes his actions will inspire the anti-government crowd to bear arms and take to the streets. The British didn’t have tanks, planes, rocket launchers, drones and poisonous gas when the colonists rebelled. The power elite that now rules America has all of these weapons – and more – at its disposal. [More]
Note he doesn't tell us how those would be used without collateral damage to vast portions of the general population.

I think what he's saying is he personally has no line in the sand.

With the Profiles in Apathy I see all around, leading to attempt after attempt failing due to Molon Labia gun owners not even lifting a finger when a righteous plea for easy help is made, I wonder increasingly how many do.

This Day in History: July 11

I am called to this Place, in the Course of my Duty: but dont conceive from it any hopes of Peace. This desireable object is yet unhappily at a Distance, a long distance I fear. [More]
