I have worked in Mexico, once in the Yucatan and once in Tula, an industrial city north of the capital. Bad crime and the original inhabitants in the Yucatan who's ancestors built the Mayan temples cringe in fear whenever a Euro-mexican gets near. The police are so poorly paid they shake down motorists for money. Real shit-hole; maybe all these Reconquistas should stay home and prove to us that they can govern themselves by straightening out the mess down south...
