Naturally, I immediately changed my password.
The question becomes, is this simply a technical glitch with Blogger, or is malevolent intent at work? If it is, is it random criminal malevolent intent or is it agenda-driven beyond that?
Ah... it may be no big deal, although clearing cookies can result in a pain the neck with some bookmarked sites. That said, I'm creating this public record just in case it is a big deal, and if someone is doing something rotten under what others may assume is my identity.

If you do decide to take the clear-cache-and-cookies route, you may be interested in turning to some of the various password "wallets" to handle logins to sites, both to enable ease of unsnarling future browser issues, but to theoretically inrease security by enabling better (and harder to humanly remember) password use and putting such passwords under actual encryption.

"Browser integration" means that the password wallet will type in your site credentials for you (whereas some of the betters ones, ala KeePass and PasswordSafe require an extra step, the copy-and-paste from the wallet to the browser field - after which the copy/paste buffer is wiped).
As with all important data, backups are required to prevent loss, which goes double for encrypted password wallets.
