Rotten to the Corps Redux

We talked briefly about the Army Corps of Engineers as it relates to usurping its proper role as subordinate to civil authority in RKBA matters.  Now they're continuing to play at being stooge bureaucrats who view their function as controllers of the waters, which, if true, ought to make them liable for all damages from floods.

Here's the thing. You can sign a petition through a group or you can cut out the middleman and add your thoughts to the official record.

I've got no problem with groups that give us strength through organization and serve the vital function of monitoring developments and mobilizing us when need be, and I'm not disparaging CFACT, merely providing an alternative.  On the other hand, I have significant problems with "groups" that do nothing but siphon off energy and funds that could be put to actual practical use.

Well, I do blame CFACT for this kind of feckless fundraising scam, and I blame Gottlieb's SAF-CCRKBA front groups for helping perpetrate it. I got this CFACT email simultaneously from CFACT and a Gottlieb front group.

As to Otto, he's a scumbag con artist, but he has some valid points about the apparent double standard of attacking only the up & coming grifters.

Gottlieb's empire is big business, with probably 30 deceptive-fraudulent email front groups that do exactly the same thing as Otto and worse. Why doesn't anyone attack Gottlieb for this? It's like, but worse than, "amnesty but only for the most successful illegals". We don't want any new scumbags, but if you're a well-established scumbag who throws a week-long party every year that we get to go to, or if you pay us a consulting gig, throw us some kind of bone, etc., we'll cover for you and call you a gun rights hero. In who knows how many ways, Gottlieb has bought silence and cover for his grifting, Nigerian style moral theft, and sabotage of the conservative movement. Too many people get something or want something from him. But he funds things like Heller, so everyone can have salve their conscience, even though we're going to lose the legislatures, the courts, and the country anyway thanks to pocket-stuffing con-artists who suck all the financial oxygen out of the room and won't even take a stand against the invasion, occupation and takeover of the USA. I've seen his email front groups trick good Americans out of donations to "stop amnesty", and we know none of it went for that, since at the last "gun rights policy conference", he suppressed any discussion or even mention of invasion-overimmigration-amnesty as the most decisive indirect gun rights threat facing the USA. I know other folks who've become disgusted when they've received a free-energy scam from one Gottlieb's front groups.

Any time I see a Washington state address or anything that has a similar visual feel to a known Gottlieb scam, I suspect Gottlieb. I suspected the CFACT email was a Gottlieb scam even before I got the same email from Gun Alerts.

Likewise, when I see Colorado, I suspect NAGR, which appears to be emulating the Gottlieb empire -- mainly a massive fundraising-pocketlining scheme. I wonder if Otto is hooked up with Dudley Brown & COMPANY?

NRA, of course, is the biggest money scam of all, $300,000,000 a year -- $2 million of which is stuffed into LaPierre's pockets off the top - and they use a lot of the money to elect gun grabbers and pass control (e.g., Veterans Disarmament and its expansion via Obamacare) -- but as far as we know at least they don't trick people out of money on non-gun issues, which helps guarantee the continued success of their enterprise.
