Bloomberg Moms target pro-gun candidate at Iowa State Fair

“An Iowa Firearms Coalition member passed this voicemail along earlier today,” the description accompanying the video reports. “Michael Bloomberg's Moms Demand Action group wants to pay for your parking, admission, and food at the Iowa State Fair. Just call their number to RSVP (note that this ‘grassroots’ event is being organized out of a San Diego, CA area code).” [More
This evening's Gun Rights Examiner report notes more of the AstroTurf roll-outs we've come to expect from this gang of elitist-funded frauds.

Iowa Alert

We have just received word that the anti-gun Bloomberg organization Moms Demand Action is planning on crashing Joni Ernst's appearance at the Iowa State Fair tomorrow, August 8! Joni Ernst, a senator in the state legislature and lieutenant colonel in the Iowa National Guard, is the pro-gun candidate running against anti-gun Bruce Braley for Tom Harkin's Senate seat. Because of that, MDA is sending e-mails and making phone calls as I type, recruiting their anti-gun, billionaire backed, astroturf activists to come to our fair and bushwhack Ernst when she's scheduled to speak at the Soap Box Friday morning at 10:30 AM. [More]
Immediate action needed. Please share this alert with Iowa gun owners. Do it now.

UPDATE: Iowa anti-gun "grassroots" are being "coordinated" and reimbursed from California!

Spreading Throughout the Land

Do they broadcast in your area yet?

I wonder how Unarmed American Radio is doing... you know, a show specifically devoted to "gun control"...?  There's popular demand for that, right?

Kapo of the Month

We need to become a society whose individuals do not carry devices specifically made to kill other individuals ... We need to become a society whose reverence for the value of each life does not permit the carrying of devices to extinguish human life. [More]
Oh, look, an anti-gun pediatrician.  How rare and unique!

And my, isn't he morally superior in his compassion!  Why someone  raping and killing his wife and children may be moved to tie him up and throw him downstairs so he doesn't have to watch!

Here, Perry, I made you a business card. No charge.

As is typical with the type who may be highly educated in one specialized field, but dumber than a fifth-grader in others, I see Perry makes the same old ignorant assumption about what technology and developments the Founders would be horrified by.

I wonder if he's ever stopped to think about how many people will die if the state tries to carry out that which he demands, but lacks the guts to carry out himself.  By "only a  start," it does leave open the question of what he sees as the "final solution."

ALSO: Workman weighs in.  Glad to see putting "progressive" in quotation marks the same way we do with "assault weapon" is becoming a standard practice.

You Know, Assault Armor

"We're not talking about just a standard bullet-proof vest," he said. "We're talking about body armor that is designed for warfare, designed to protect against law enforcement ammunitions." [More]
Two visions of America: Guess which one Rep. Prozi here is working to actualize.  You'd think this 監督, whose family was sent to an internment camp, ought to know better than to encourage and enable a monopoly of violence. Ah well, "progressives" and Opposite Day, no doubt with a heaping helping of either Stockholm Syndrome or just plain personal ambition...

So naturally:
Honda said it has been endorsed by law enforcement organizations including the California State Sheriffs' Association, the Fraternal Order of Police and the Peace Officers Research Association of California, according to Honda.
Say, was that last bit written by the Department of Redundancy Department?

We're the Only Ones For the Children Enough

An off-duty MTA police officer accidentally discharged his weapon at his Long Island home Tuesday, shooting his 3-year-old son in the chest ... It wasn't clear if multiple shots were fired, or if the bullet ricocheted. [More]
Yeah, I remember when I used to "accidentally" shoot feral sons Uday and Qusay, back when they were that age...

I even remember what I used to say to them when trying to recall many rounds "went off."

Economic Waco

“My experiences illustrate the reality of prosecutorial over-reach, and the ease with which people can find themselves in court facing prison time and financial ruin over charges that have no merit,” Bujak told me during a quiet meeting in a Nampa coffee shop in the company of his wife, Crystalee. “That's why about ninety percent of the people who face federal charges accept a deal in exchange for foregoing their right to a trial. They're terrified, which is understandable, and if they wind up with a public defender they'll be fed into a plea-bargaining machine. And prosecutors know that the key to career advancement is to win convictions. This is especially true of elected prosecutors, such as district attorneys..." [More
And when the victims don't go along, tyrannical travesties like this are the result.

That one never ceases to disappoint me in re how few care: to get informed, to help, even to do the bare minimum of helping spread the word that "legitimate media" refuses to do...

Kind of makes me wonder how many chatroom warriors will be up for real hardships and sacrifices when the time comes...

Coming Out of the Gun Safe

It is an article of faith among the gun ban zealots that racial minorities, women, the LGBT community, etc., owe the self-proclaimed "progressives" their allegiance, and in failing to deliver that allegiance, they are not only working against their own self interests, but committing a kind of ideological "treason," as well. [More]
So naturally, the Prozis would rather see Tom Palmer bashed or sliced to death than armed.

Oh Ru-u-beee...

As I recall, the lyric was "love," but there's very little of that "authoritah" has for gun owners they catch running unintentionally afoul of their infringements. [More]

The Third Way

It will obviously never be this blatant, but when all other options have been exhausted, some may start to question what alternatives they're left with if they wish to ensure predator stalkers just keep the hell away from them.

There is a less drastic solution, but the outrageous thing is, if they catch you trying it, or even if you inadvertently run afoul of evil self-defense bans, the penalty could be just as life-destroying. Take that option away from people, make it a choice between Felony Conviction A or Felony Conviction B, and some will start to question just what the hell it is they have to lose by selecting either when faced with a "judged by 12/carried by six" dilemma.

In fairness, there is a third way, where at least your record will stay clean, even if you are dirt-napping.

And what goes better with "miracle in a can" than ketchup?

This one just struck me as very unique among the run-of-the-mill dead African financial minister bank transfer phishing scams, Paypal account suspensions, business proposals from total strangers with names like Kabiru Wahid, and opportunities to find -- if not love-- at least something approximating it that's every bit as likely to transmit virtual pathogens as the real world activity it's patterned on...

Crocodile Tears

We were saddened today to hear of the death of James Brady...[More]
Really?

Why?  What "good" did he do?

They're still using the guy to try to disarm us.

Do you think any of them will be genuinely "saddened" when any of us die?  Hell, they're probably praying it will be a "gun death" so they can dance and gloat.

Do you people really think this is merely a political disagreement, and at the end of the day we're all family? Do you not understand  those intent on establishing a monopoly of violence mean for us to be absorbed or be destroyed?

Do you not understand that, true to their "Every day is Opposite Day" nature, Prozis who accuse gun owners of being haters are consumed with hatred?

If you don't, what the hell are you doing posing as leaders? If you do, does anyone over at NSSF think insincere "high road decency" is going to change that?

A notation without phony editorial sentiment is all that was needed.

They don't want our sympathy. They want our surrender.

It was phony, wasn't it? Because that statement of support for "instant gun control" sure makes me wonder...

This Day in History: August 7

The General ever desirous to cherish virtuous ambition in his soldiers, as well as to foster and encourage every species of Military merit, directs that whenever any singularly meritorious action is performed, the author of it shall be permitted to wear on his facings over the left breast, the figure of a heart in purple cloth, or silk, edged with narrow lace or binding.
