And the State AG, Obama crony Kamala Harris, appeals on the basis that, hey, at least we didn't beat the (phony) confession out of him.
This has so many layers of bad. First, the obvious one, where prosecutors are basically making shit up to convict defendants. And second, there's a reasonable chance this defendant was, in fact, guilty, and the prosecutor's behavior led to charges being dismissed with prejudice, freeing a felon.
