Hmm, would it be possible to develop an argument that gun-grabbing politicians are giving aid and comfort to the foreign enemies of the American Republic by their actions? After all, they are making it easier for foreign armies to invade and conquer their country. It certainly put Admiral Yamamoto off the idea of invading the continental United States.
It sad though that there is no provision in the Constitution that any politician(including the president) who proposes or speaks in favour of any law that violates the Second Amendment is automatically deprived of his seat and any emoluments of office.
That should fix 'em!
