Up in Smoke

"I can't believe I voted 'no' when it was finally on the ballot," said Marty Dvorchak, 62, of the northern Cincinnati suburb of Fairfield. "I think it's ridiculous that marijuana is illegal. The war on drugs has been a failure. But I don't think 10 people (growers) should have a monopoly." [More]
Those were pretty much my sentiments.

Interesting how they did this. Tell people how only 10 people will profit from it. Then tell them that in order to prevent the greedy from profiting offer another bill to keep that from happening so that more can profit from it. Seems like both bills came from the same or like minded people in order to get it passed and even that failed. Something about the best laid plans comes to mind. Used to work with a guy who had a saying about this. "You'll have that."

But if we make pot legal, everyone will be a pot head! Everyone will be dying in the streets and nobody will care 'cause everyone will be high on pot and it will cause Negros the rape white women!

That doesn't aply to me of course, because I'm a responsible adult, it's all those OTHER peple out there who will behave badly! Everyone on the planet will behave irresponsibly exept for me! I have to have control! I have to be in control!
