Also, as to the chart:

Including suicides?!?
Remove those and there is zero correlation (see FBI's crime statistics).
Plot homicides v.s. the Brady score and you get... nothing.
I actually did this myself several months back using 2014 data, just to see for myself. (I have the graph if you want it)
Nice fail by Reuters in buying the BS without doing their own fact checking.
