The main problem with the notion of self-defense is it imposes on justice, for everyone has the right for a fair trial. Therefore, using a firearm to defend oneself is not legal because if the attacker is killed, he or she is devoid of his or her rights. Let's take that to its logical conclusion, shall we?
Shooting in self-defense violates the due process rights of the criminal by denying them the right to a trial. Therefore, self-defense is not legal.
So the criminals can kill the law-abiding at their leisure. And they cannot be charged with murder; to try a criminal for murder violates his/her right to face his/her accuser in court, and the victim is dead and is unavailable to provide testimony of the killer's guilt. Therefore, murder trials are also not legal. Moreover, they are no doubt racist manifestations of "white privilege".
What could possibly go wrong?
Well that's the stupidest thing I've read today. If I was listening to someone saying that, my mouth would probably be hanging open at the abject stupidity being spewed.
Ya' can't make this stuff up. Sigh.
