An NBC Bay Area investigation into the loss and theft of police firearms uncovered more than 500 weapons have gone missing from eight different law enforcement agencies since 2010. [More]And naturally, they're being uncooperative.
Let the outrageousness of who and where these people are, and what exemptions and power they have, sink in for as moment. This is at a minimum, criminal negligence, and, noting utter piece of filth Leland Yee, quite possibly more.
Remember this when you see Gavin Newsom or Kevin de León or Mike Feuer or some other goddamn totalitarian demand new ways to persecute those who want to claim their rights. This is the inevitable result of Opposite Day "progressive" disarmament edicts they call "common sense gun safety laws" for the manipulation of the cud-chewers. It's also the inevitable result of the subversive cultural terraforming that enables such corruption to rise to power.

And speaking of Kevin de León and Gavin Newsom:
Last week the California legislature 'gutted and amended' 4 existing bills (two of which originally pertained to 'climate change') and, with the snap of a finger, turned them into gun bills. One of them (de León) is an ammunition registry. I reckon that's a backup to Gavin Newsom's ballot proposition, just in case it fails (which it won't).

"In August, a thief stole the gun and badge of UC Berkeley Police Chief Margo Bennett from her personal vehicle. A statement released by UC Berkeley said the chief had been the victim of an auto burglary while jogging near Point Isabel Regional Shoreline in Richmond, but did not say if she would face any disciplinary action as a result of the theft."
You can bet that if you or I left our gun in the car and it was stolen, we'd be persecuted to their full extent. What ever happened to cops always carrying their sidearm? I thought they were supposed to be armed even in civilian clothes.
