John Glenn’s Heroic Legacy Dimmed by His Support for ‘Gun Control’

And for those of us who went on to become advocates for the right to keep and bear arms, he was an enigma we’ll forever have trouble reconciling. Our admiration for his deeds will be dogged by recognition of the lead Glenn took in imposing infringements that dictate the way guns are owned and transferred today. [More]
Remember and celebrate John Glenn’s life and deeds outside of politics.

Glenn's aeronautical accomplishments aside...

Don't be hornswoggled that his flaws were limited to disrespect for the 2nd...

On July 16, 1996, the Senate Committee on Governmental affairs held hearings considering a bill to require Congress to specify for each new law which section of the Constitution gives it authority to pass the law.

United States Senator Glenn spoke out strongly against this requirement stating:

"Americans just want us to... not be concerned
if they can be constitutionally justified...
Why, if we had to do that we could not pass
most of the laws we enact around here."

And so, Glenn *knowingly* crapped all over the Bill of Rights and Constitution, and his oath to same as well.

Therefore, a hero...Glenn surely is not. Traitor is more fitting...

Ohio, and the country would have been much better served had Glenn been left in orbit in perpetuity.

As a lifelong Ohioan who never voted for that cretin, I say Glenn can rot in hell for eternity...

Space was cool when I was a kid, and I bought into the fad then, but these days I see space as just another excuse for overpriced, oversized government. I don't want to spend my money on overpaid, pre-fab, government "heros" who later use their status to destroy my RKBA, because there's nothing heroic about raping our freedom and the US Constitution.

The Nazis helped him make it to space and make gun laws for the rubes in flyover country.
