Speaking of patriotic whistleblowers, whatever became of John Dodson? Did he get relegated to a windowless corner office and eventually fired, like Vince Cefalu?

My understanding is he's just keeping his head down.

I can't blame him a bit. If I were King, I'd pick him as my new BATFE Director and tell him to clean house.

Every government from time immemorial has wanted to do what it wanted to do without being hindered by "petty considerations" such as "laws" or "constitutions" or whatnot. (Isn't the essence of so-called "sovereign immunity"?) Hard to do that when some knot head is blowing the whistle on every little thing the government does that's not quite kosher. Anybody who thinks this is going to change is welcome to buy some of that choice bottom land I'm selling. Cash only, please and in small, unmarked bills.
