A One-Shot Deal

He also said, “The American people, in my mind, will never accept a legalization program unless they can be assured this is a one-shot deal and that this is it, this is a one-time occurrence.  And the policymakers in this country are not going to allow it to happen again and will prevent the situation which gave rise to it.”  [More]
Political assurances. Talk about an oxymoron.

Good thing none of this has a damn thing to do with that "single issue" and that gun owners have nothing to worry about.

It was a one shot deal when Reagan was president.
They had their shot, now the illegals can go back to their home countries and get in line behind those patiently waiting for legal immigration.

Is now the time for me to bring up my old story about the two brothers, Jesus and Jose?
Jesus applied for an immigration visa and is still waiting. The same month, Jose paid smugglers to get him over the border and has been living in California ever since. Jesus never broke a law in his life. Jose breaks our laws on a regular basis, but California authorities are reluctant to prosecute him for fear the feds would take notice. Any law that favors Jose over Jesus is patently unfair and immoral, and anybody who would propose or vote for such a law needs to be impeached.
