How Much More Obvious Does It Need to Get?

The first and most obvious reason is political. The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, chain migration, sanctuary cities and citizenship for immigrants living in the country illegally will give the left political power. An estimated 70 to 80 percent of Latin American immigrants will vote Democrat. So, with enough new voters from Latin America alone, the Democrats would essentially be assured the presidency and Congress for decades. [More]
Good thing this has nothing to do with that "single issue."

Right, national and state "gun groups" and popular "gun bloggers"?

Indeed, where are all the "Grass Roots" state (sovereign?) RKBA groups that advocate "Your right to defend yourself" -- silence?

The solution's really pretty simple. Permanent green card. Live here, work here, pay taxes here, but no citizenship here until application is made from a properly maintained legal status. That would give the Rs their cheap labor, but never get the Ds their votes. The issue could then go away.

Of course, such a solution is never going to be on the table.

Not hardly. That does not address "birthright citizenship" from faster-breeding populations nor the cultural transformation and demand on resources. That'll just kick the can down the road and those demanding everything now will still be here creating pressure to give the store away. And by then, the organs of public opinion will be speaking their language, literally.

That also doesn't consider "motor-voter" programs such as that in California which permits illegal aliens voting access regardless of their status.

David, guess who agrees with you AND provides supporting evidence? Larry Elder.

These are what he discussed on his radio show last night. I thought of you the whole time.
