The New Blackface

Fury as Disney 'browns up' white actors to star in Aladdin despite filming next to one million-strong Asian community [More]
What did you think this was, a two-way street?

I love it when "progressives" eat their own.

Hollywood cinema has long cast actors based on name or ability instead of country of origin. That's why it's called acting. In the 1957 war comedy, Joe Butterfly, Burgess Meredith plays a Japanese black-marketeer with eye prosthetics to make him appear more Asian looking. There are thousands of examples.

Just my 2c.

Yep, Yul Brynner as the king of Siam, John Wayne as Genghis Frickin' Khan, etc., etc.

But "progressives" mean to change the rules. Watch for such films to go the way of Confederate statues if they prevail.

Hey, are you old enough to remember fondly when every American employer had the very same option?
