We're the Only Ones Ready for Your Close-Up Enough

“We’re just getting this testing stage off the ground, and we’re hoping in the near future we’ll have a variety of departments adopt it,” he said. [More]
They won't, at least it won't be widespread, although the $500 per unit price tag offers a powerful incentive for opportunistic administrators to get "creative." And I expect police union reps like Liberty Lynchin' Patrick will have something to say about why his guys are above being second-guessed.

More likely, taking their cue from "smart gun" development, opportunistic politicians will demand they be required on "civilian" guns, and the self-incrimination potential be damned.

What's the difference between a "public/private partnership" and "economic fascism" again...?

Lots of closeup pictures of dead dogs and murdered homeless, maybe? Why? Nobody really understands sociopaths.

Self incrimination? I'm sure the camera can "malfunction" as easily as dash cams and so forth...

Bob Guccione became famous for exploiting the fact that a little Vaseline on a lens hides a lot of God’s mistakes. Surely it will do the same for man’s.

Besides, as I noted previously, a gun drawn and fired at contact range will tell you precisely nothing about the foregoing contaxt of the shooting.

"Police departments across the country have invested heavily in body and dashboard-mounted cameras" which suffer "malfunction" rates of up to 80% and whose video files get "accidentally" deleted, or ruled inadmissable by some judge.
