You got that. Apologies and cooperation just make the looters target you harder. Regardless of how many times the building has changed hands, that hobo sign* has been on the front sidewalk for years and it isn’t going away.

(I was thinking “easy mark,” but “cowards who will give to make you go away” is probably closer to the truth.)
