Raison D'être

They are not marching north to become good little capitalist “Americans,” much less citizens of the United States. In fact, they hate capitalism, bellowing socialist chants of: “We are international workers!” [More]
"Conservative" Judge Andrew Napolitano, who doesn't seem to grok the difference between invasion and immigration, maintains the Constitution is a suicide pact, we have no legitimate authority to stop it, and if we try, we're just a bunch of nativist haters.

It's not the first time he's revealed a discrediting insane streak. It's disappointing, because so much of what he has said has been correct.

Au contraire mon frère.

"The Congress shall have Power To ... provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States [and] To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers..."

The cultural terraforming and padding of the electorate with foreigners ignorant of and inimical to a Bill of Rights culture is a very real and compelling interest to guard against.

And then there's this:
First, the Constitution did grant the federal government authority over immigration. Second, to understand the Constitution you have to do more than read the document. Because it was written mostly by lawyers for an 18th-century public well educated in legal matters, to fully understand the Constitution we have to know some fundamentals of 18th-century law.
Jon Roland has more.

We’ve got to start putting ourselves in the shoes of other people. We’ve got to start thinking about the consequences that others suffer. And if we have been spared those by the grace of God, let us be appreciative, let us count our blessings, and let us reach out to those who have less. Let’s stop putting up walls around ourselves and not understanding the plight, the trouble, and the problems of others. It is not right. And the Lord doesn’t want it, and our people at their hearts want to reach out to others. Look at what they do in these storms they go and they rescue people they don’t know. They put them in their homes. They feed them. That’s America. -- John Kasich.

He's YOUR Governor, David. What's his mental state these days; can you possibly explain his thinking?
