In Essence?

There was nobody more essential to carrying out the promises that Trump made to voters than Jeff Sessions ... And Jeff Sessions has spent a lifetime documenting how unchecked, mass, low-skilled immigration destroys the social fabric of this country. [More]
So how did hanging Trump out to dry help?

UPDATE (of relevance and per Mack H):

What can Brown do for you?

The optics are right. What about the principles?

She knows what's right on unchecked cultural terraforming but defers to past wrong decisions? Should "most libertarian" fill me with confidence on that?

At this point I'm just asking.

She is a long-entrenched member of fedgov. Why would she be any better or different from Do-Nothing Sessions ? Hell. She's a lawyer for Godsakes. Sessions proved that not a one of the fedgov Swamp Rats can be trusted. Can you imagine the outcry if the woman and negro (double-edged sword) was appointed, then POTUS 45 decides to fire HER ?

Like anything. Time will tell.

Sessions, along with the Republican members of Congress, did absolutely nothing to help the President. Nada, Zippo.

Yes, Sessions was "essential to" carrying out Trump's promises, he just failed miserably at his duty. Instead of helping Trump with the issues he campaigned on, he was too busy keeping weed illegal and promoting the abominable practice of forfeiture without due process. He played with own hobby horses, ignoring the real work to be done.
