Of course he's exasperated. He has no answers other than, "Confiscate, confiscate, confiscate".

But only from the tradesmen and other honest folks. He won't go after the problem individuals. That would be dangerous, after all.

I still say, if he's so insistent that knives are the problem, every person he employs that uses any kind of blade for their work should quit, and no others should take the job. His yard and hedges should be overgrown (wasn't some guy cited and fined for having garden shears?), his food should be uncut and uncooked (aren't stores required to check IDs before selling whisks?), and no barber in the country should accept him as a customer. All those sharp things in close proximity to his person are dangerous, after all.

The people of London have the power to make his life Hell, and do it according to his own rules. But I'm long past the point of believing Brits have spines anymore to make it happen.
