How Did He Think Real Nazis Would Act?

"I have one question: are you protesting the part where I'm condemning the Nazis?" he asked. "Hear what I'm doing right now. Do you have ears? I'm literally condemning Nazis and you're telling me to leave. Do you hear yourselves?" [More]
Mobs aren't swayed by reason and he's "puzzled"?

I reject the lie that National Socialists are creatures of the right.  Then again, I'm not all that impressed by Ben Shapiro's credentials, either.

That's because it's a relative term. A "conservative" in 1776 would have been a loyalist to the Crown.

Most political labels are subjective and arbitrary. Left vs Right, Blue vs Red, Conservative vs Liberal, are all false dichotomies.

Some of that I suspect is deliberately created to mask the real conflict that has plagued humanity since the first societies were created: Do the people exist to serve the State or does the State exist to serve the people?

You mentioned that it has been 3 years since Mike Vanderboegh passed. One of the things I picked up from SSI was "Choose this day whom you will serve. Will you serve the people or will you serve the State?"

RIP, Dutchman6.

What are "Conservatives" trying to conserve?

The derivation, as I understand it, is that they were trying to preserve the liberties obtained by the American Revolution - speech, assembly, worship, guns, and all the rest.

There were no conservatives until after the revolution - crown loyalists were Whigs.

Prior to the revolution, the conservatives were radical firebrands, bent on overthrowing the current order.
