O, Canada

Victims of a mass shooting in Toronto have launched a class action lawsuit against gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson, alleging the company failed to implement key safety features in its weapons that could have prevented the 2018 attack. [More]

So the psycho son of Pakistani immigrants steals a gun from a dealer that does not incorporate non-existent technology and the solution is to go after the manufacturer?

This is an act of official extortion against a U.S. firm that has abided by all mutually-agreed upon export/import terms. If this is allowed to go forward, it will make all legal gun sales to Canadian citizens cost-prohibitive. The proper response to that would be to cease all arms sales to the Canadian government and then start imposing other sanctions.
