Willing to Sacrifice Pawns

At some point, the other pieces on the board will be engaged.

The Governor is not the ultimate commander of the Virginia National Guard - POTUS is. I recall (since I was around then) more than one occasion during the civil rights struggle in the early '60s when the Guard was "nationalized", the President taking over command from the Governor. This was in Alabama and Arkansas, as I recall. The officers of the Guard did not ask questions but obeyed orders from Washington. So maybe Blackface Northam will order the NG to interfere with 2A sanctuary counties - and maybe DJT will spoil his fun.

The members of the National Guard, as well as the reserves and active duty and many in law enforcement all alone the same type of weapons that the Virginia governor would have confiscated.

One would think they would refuse. My personal opinion is this country is headed for shooting Civil War in less than 15 years and probably less than 10.

If that is the case, I hope militias are being put together and civilian Authority put in place to appoint their officers and to proscribe the training of the militia.

“[Democratic Virginia Rep. Donald] McEachin also noted that Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam could call the National Guard, if necessary.
“And ultimately, I'm not the governor, but the governor may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law,” he said.”

Ummm, that is not how it works, but keep working on that fantasy.
