French Leave

Paul François, a farmer from France’s rural Charente region, is seeking more than €1 million in damages from Monsanto, arguing that use of the company’s Lasso weed killer has left him disabled. [More]
We still don't know what role Shannon played in trying to weasel-word out of things...

We're the Only Ones Qualified Enough

Now, Herrera has a new assignment: to be one of several officers who oversee the Chicago Police Department’s “implicit bias” trainings, a program intended to curb incidents of racist police violence. [More]
WarOnGuns has obtained a CPD training video where he fulfills the role of "Don't Bee."

A Cavalcade of Sphincters

Those receiving the preservation letters included The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN, National Public Radio, The Hill, The Atlantic, and TMZ, as well as more than two dozen journalists such as MSNBC’s Joy Reid and NBC’s Savannah Guthrie, who interviewed Mr. Sandmann on the “Today” show. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Massachusetts Democrat, and Rep. Ilhan Omar, Minnesota Democrat, were also included. So were celebrities Jim Carrey, Kathy Griffin and Alyssa Milano, as were the Diocese of Covington and Archdiocese of Louisville. [More]
Point of order: It should be standard practice for all news outlets to add "(living proof that a child can do her job)" after all mentions of Alyssa Milano.

And yes. Yes, I have.

The Traveling Minstrel Show

"Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring says he wore blackface in college" [More]
Think of it as tradition.

And after making all the right noises.

Getting ahead of a story is an old Clinton damage control tactic. Let the excuse-making begin.

Any black "leader" not screaming for the heads of all these bastards is a hypocrite and a fraud.

NRA revokes instructor’s credentials after profane call to training staff [More]
Shoot, if I didn't hear plenty of creative profanity in one of his phone calls, I'd think it wasn't Fredd.

I'm glad Lee Williams picked this story up.  I would not be able to write one anywhere near as good because all I really grok about trainers is how to incur their wrath when I call 'em out for siding with gun-grabbing Democrats.

Not knowing about their training policies, but a few things about Fairfax, I'm surprised they can just cut someone off so arbitrarily and suddenly without a formal process that first attempts to resolve disputes and assess the fairness of contentions from both sides. Why else would someone invest the considerable time and resources to rise through the ranks if they thought they could have the rug pulled out from under them because they crossed the wrong mid-level martinet? I'd like to see the directive on that because it sure seems actionable.

Why is it they are so quick to banish over something like this, yet show continued deliberately indifference to booting a confirmed enemy?

Edicts Pushed by Opportunists have no Bearing on Shooting that Motivated Indiana Mom

Better to blame guns, right, and to stump for new edicts that will only infringe upon the “law-abiding”?  Especially when Curry has a willing local media ready to regurgitate his every contention without question or examination…? [More]
Gun-grabbers will never let a blood-dancing opportunity go to waste. And the "media" will always be right there to cheer them on.

An Act of War

Coahuila officials deployed 49 private buses and dozens of police vehicles to help transport and safeguard more than 1,700 migrants to an unsecured part of the Texas border. [More]
They do it because they're "allowed" to.

They're allowed to because of treasonous "pathway to citizenship" Democrats and "cheap labor" Republicans.

Good thing this has nothing to do with that "single issue."

We're the Only Ones Conversant Enough

F.C. Police Chief Mary Gavin told the Council it will be very useful to enable Falls Church Police to “have conversations” with citizens whose shotguns or rifles may be suspected of being loaded and of “separating the citizen from a weapon” for examination purposes. [More]
This must be that "conversation on guns" the antis keep clamoring for.

The Road to Hell

EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini stated: "It's our duty to protect this space and not allow anybody to spread disinformation that fuels hatred, division, and mistrust in democracy." [More]
And guess who gets to decide.

Trying to Undo the Damage

Florida Rep. Files Bill to Repeal Last Year’s Republican Gun Control Law [More]
Meanwhile, "Pensacola resident Phil Grisaffi," whoever the hell he is and whatever the hell the qualifications that merit quoting him are, decides to open his mouth and remove all doubt. And for being a "former gun shop owner," you'd think Thomas Riderer would grok it ain't about "bump stocks."

I guess it was either beyond the capability or the agenda of WEARTV's Renee Beninate to find a Florida gun owner who wholeheartedly supports the repeal.

Was Her Face Red

Senator Elizabeth Warren said Tuesday that she was sorry that she identified herself as a Native American for almost two decades, reflecting her ongoing struggle to quiet a controversy that continues to haunt her as she prepares to formally announce a presidential bid. [More]
It's a heck of a transition from that to Great White Father...

Joyful Defiance

It figures that's the way Opposite Day "progressives" would characterize it. That's only when he said stuff about the number of women employed and in Congress.  The rest of the time they sat there seething, spiteful, humorless and glowering, especially when he referenced abortion and immigration, and dissed socialism:
