Tough to Feel Sorry for the Guy

CEO Bradley Johnson said in a court filing that the company’s prediction that the Democrats would hold onto the White House in 2016 backfired after a projected jump in firearms sales didn’t materialize. [More]
So they bet on defeatism and focused capital resources on fear..?

It sure sounds like there's more to it than that with all the payouts.

More Than I Can Stomach

I think I said at the time that while not optimal, this is something we could stomach in light of what the Democratic Party wants to enact concerning gun control. [More]
If you didn't realize that throwing a scrap of flesh to a pack of circling jackals wouldn't do anything but embolden them, you have no business presuming to influence on guns.

'I Will Not Comply'

Kiwis Just Say No To Gun Ban - In the wake of the Christchurch mosque massacres, gun confiscation fizzles as Kiwis ignore new law. [More]
As noted before on several occasions, the ricebowl gun groups don't quite know what to do with such people, aside from joining with "progressives" by calling them "extremists." That's because those in it strictly for the liberty don't send out emails to lists asking for money, or selling merchandise, or offering gunprizes to induce people to do the right thing out of covetousness instead of principle, or sending "fax blasts" to stuff the pockets of spammers, divert resources from the gullible who will then feel like they've done their part, and amuse corrupt legislators in safe districts.

I see a poster that could use an update...

You Gotta Have Faith

All people of faith should be able to agree on its centrality even when disagreeing on how to address it. [More]
Faith in...what?

No, we can't all get along, not when one "side" relies on willfully-deluded followers swallowing lies in order to advance totalitarian evil, which insulated Mims here seems to view as an abstraction allowing differences to be amicably resolved.

Strange Bedfellows

Parkland families push petitions for 2020 ban on assault weapons in Florida [More]
Their losses do not entitle them to initiate police state violence against me and mine to force their will upon us.

It's an initiative from Ban Assault Weapons Now, a shadowy group of Astroturf subversives we've bumped against before.

Who are these guys?

Searching the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations. we see Gail Schwartz, the activist "aunt," but also another name,  MAGGIOLO, GLORIA, and a  6619 SOUTH DIXIE HIGHWAY #148, MIAMI address.

It's a box in a UPS store. Maggiolo looks like a political operator who plays both sides of the street.

Curious thing, that. The same name and address are listed on a Federal Elections Commission filing from April 2018, for the principal campaign committee of REPUBLICAN congressional candidate Javier Manjarres.

His "Issues" page pledged:
"The right to self-defense is protected by the 2nd Amendment. I will protect this most fundamental right by standing against those who are trying to undermine it. We can all come to the table and agree on enforcing sensible and existing laws that will keep us safe, but these laws can not undermine or erode the rights of law abiding citizens."
Manjarres appears to understand blaming guns is not the answer. On top of that, he's endorsed by NRA "A"-rated endorsee Sen. Marco Rubio. Conversely, he was also endorsed by FL AG Pam Bondi, who NRA called a "bully."

This first-generation son of immigrants from the Dominican Republic's website claims "His Republican and conservative bona fides are without question."

Sorry, Mr. Manjarres, I have some questions. Starting with "What's your relationship with Gloria Maggiolo?"
