I want criminal penalties for government officials who violate the Second Amendment. Violate my rights as an American citizen, when you are a sworn government official, and you go to jail for a substantial period of time. Nine years sounds about right, with that as a mild substitute sentence for the death penalty.

Chas, it doesn't specify criminal penalties, but the civil penalties aren't bad.
A person who is deprived of any right, privilege, or immunity secured by this section, section 926B or 926C, under color of any statute, ordinance, regulation,
custom, or usage of any State or any political subdivision thereof, may bring an action in any appropriate court against any other person, including a State or political subdivision thereof, who causes the person to be subject to the deprivation, for damages and other appropriate relief.

(I had some input on this bill.)

GOA’s website is hopelessly screwed up. They’re trying to fix it, but it’s still broken as of right now.

CALL your representative. The bill doesn’t yet have a number, so you have to identify it by title and sponsor (Mo Brooks, Lawful Interstate Transfer of Firearms Act). The aim is to load up the bill with “original” sponsors, before it is filed for a number.

It works fine for me. I use it all the time to contact my senators and congressman with these alerts.

So did I, until it stopped working properly about six days ago. I actually phoned GOA yesterday to ask; they acknowledged the problem and said they are being swamped with calls about it, so it isn’t me.
